As you’re probably aware, the last six weeks have been very challenging for your Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service and for the people we serve.

The windstorm in early January created a two-day long brownout for our studios that took us off the air.  When we came back, we found that a key piece of our equipment had failed and needed to be replaced.  We also had to retain an outside firm to recover the programs that were saved on the device.  And, to make matters worse, our broadcast software and our new equipment did not play well together and, as a result, would knock us off the air again and again.

We’re pleased to report that all of these issues have been successfully resolved and it appears as if these problems are behind us.

When problems like this happen, we try to keep folks up-to-date through our Facebook and Twitter social media accounts, by E-mail, and through our website.  If you don’t have access to those platforms and have questions or you’d like to check our status, please call our Listener Hotline at (716) 821-5555, x5 and leave a voicemail.  Your message will be immediately shared with
